Contemporary artists' positions

A young, fresh event for artists and a public exhibition. Current and international positions in contemporary art are presented in a stylish setting. In a compact space, works of all contemporary art styles are presented with innovative themes and perfect technical quality: photography, digital art, graphics, painting, sculpture and installations. The artists were present during the event to personally present their works, created with passion and precision.

During Basel Art Week, RHY ART presented contemporary art close to the city centre. For passionate collectors and art lovers, RHY ART complemented the numerous art fairs and events taking place in Basel at the same time by focusing on individual artist presentations with solo and one-person shows. With a beautiful view and in a relaxed atmosphere, RHY ART artists and galleries took visitors on a journey of discovery.

RHY ART was born from the vision of providing a presentation space for independent artists during Basel Art Week. The aim of the exhibition is to bring artists back to the centre of the art market, to discover young artists and to showcase the achievements of established artists. There are many talented people in the art world and RHY ART offers them a forum for personal contact with the public. The exhibition thus provided an attractive forum for art dealers, curators and collectors. Since its inception in 2015, artists from 25 countries have exhibited at RHY ART.

In Basel, Swiss quality meets a multicultural population bordering France and Germany. This makes the city unmistakably cosmopolitan, international and innovative. With its diverse cultural scene and annual high-profile events, Basel is one of Switzerland's cultural hotspots. In Basel, culture is lived, created, promoted and celebrated. In a small area, there is an exceptionally dense, high-quality and internationally renowned offering. Nearly forty museums in the city showcase pioneering art from antiquity to the present day. The Fondation Beyeler, the Kunstmuseum and the Musée d'Antiquités are world-renowned for their high-calibre temporary exhibitions. The visual arts also play an important role outside the museums. Visitors are confronted with art in public spaces throughout the beautiful old town.
